On Thursday, July 9th, we held a “Heat Stroke Prevention Seminar” at Hakuho Arena for students who belong to Sports Clubs.

Our school has established an educational partnership with Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and once each semester we host specialized seminars with the aim of improving athletic performance.

In this seminar, we received a detailed explanation of the mechanisms by which heat stroke occurs, its main symptoms, the environmental conditions that increase the risk of onset, and first aid measures in case of emergency. We also learned about the effective methods for replenishing water, electrolytes, and nutrients, which are essential for heat stroke prevention. This became an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of being conscious of health management not only during Club Activities but also in our daily lives.

Furthermore, from a nutritional perspective, we received guidance on the importance of eating a substantial breakfast and the ideal balance of a breakfast that incorporates staple foods, main dishes, and side dishes. The students deepened their understanding of diet for improving athletic performance.

As summer break approaches and Club Activities practice time increases, we hope that each student will put into practice the knowledge learned today in their daily lives, maintain thorough health management, spend a fulfilling summer, and work toward achieving their individual goals.
