フードコーディネートコース

豊富なコース、かわいいUniform、海外交流。本当に楽しい高校生活でした。
I wanted to become a registered dietitian, and because I also loved cooking, I chose the Food Coordination Course. In our cooking practicums, we prepared traditional Japanese seasonal dishes such as osechi, and I deepened my understanding of food culture along the way. The event I enjoyed most was our school trip to Australia. Through the homestay, I got to experience the local food culture firsthand — it was a truly inspiring learning experience.

I wanted to become a childcare worker, so I enrolled in the Childcare Course. My experience working part-time at an after-school childcare program sparked my interest in early childhood–elementary school articulated education. The rich, varied learning here broadened the range of paths open to me for the future, and I also threw myself fully into student committee activities.

Overseas study support is comprehensive, and you can learn alongside peers who set high goals.
I took on a 10-month study abroad program in France with only enough French to exchange greetings. In Hakuho's environment — where everyone tackles things proactively — I gained a lot of inspiration and encouragement. At university, I am specializing in French and want to deepen my understanding of its culture, history, and politics.

I was born in America and moved to Japan in the fourth grade. I wanted to study in an environment where I could be surrounded by friends with backgrounds similar to mine. Over three years with motivated classmates, we pushed each other to grow. Studying abroad in Thailand, where I got to exchange perspectives with international students from all over the world and learn about values different from my own, was also an invaluable experience.

There are many chances to take on challenges, and the school actively supports each student's motivation.
In a class with such diverse backgrounds, I came to see things from many angles. Through friendships with students who had overseas roots and through study abroad, I sharpened my English skills, and my horizons widened further through study programs in the United States, Thailand, and Ireland. In the future, I want to earn certification as a Japanese language teacher and support foreign nationals living in Japan.

Media Art Course
Suzuki Harunaさん
Women's College of Fine Arts (Joshibi) Faculty of Arts
An environment where you can immerse yourself in creation — and because the school is strong in English, your English ability also improves.
I fell in love at first sight with the analog equipment in the console room during a school tour, and that's what made me decide to enroll. The facilities in the Media Art Room are also fantastic, and exchanges with students from other courses broadened my horizons. In the future, I want to come back to Hakuho as an art teacher and become someone who can teach design.

I came to Hakuho — a powerhouse school — because I really wanted to play water polo. I started as a beginner, but together with my teammates we worked hard, and the day we won a bronze medal was honestly the happiest moment. Hakuho's classes are easy to follow and the entrance exam support is rock-solid. English was my weak point, but thanks to one-on-one coaching from my teacher I made it into university without any trouble. In the future, I want to become a nurse who can work on the frontlines of emergency lifesaving care.

I made many lifelong friends
Many students in the Select Course aim for university through the general entrance exam, so we pushed each other and encouraged each other to make it through. Being able to consult my teachers about anything — career paths, study methods — and knowing they would give me sound advice was a real source of strength. And because Hakuho is a school where students throw themselves into every event, the Cultural Festival in my third year became an unforgettable memory. Two days that couldn't have been more exciting.

I also took on the challenge of a long-term overseas study program
I was interested in international studies, but I wanted to build a broad foundation of learning, so I deliberately chose the Select Course. I studied a wide range of science subjects too, and built up well-rounded academic skills. The teachers at Hakuho support what each student wants to do, regardless of course. I want to make use of the broader horizons I gained through study abroad to take on global challenges — including issues like international poverty.
