On Wednesday, July 15, we conducted course-specific school visits for first-year students.

The purpose of this school visit was for each student to visit universities and vocational schools aligned with their own interests and concerns, to deepen their understanding of career path selection, and to provide an opportunity to think concretely about their future goals.

Students in the Advanced Course and Dance Art Expression Course visited Meiji Gakuin University (Shirokane Campus). They received detailed explanations about the university’s history, its faculties and departments, obtainable qualifications, and entrance examination systems, deepening their understanding of university-level learning. During a campus tour led by current students, they were able to observe facilities while imagining actual student life. Furthermore, in a mock lecture by a university professor, they examined contemporary international challenges while considering historical context. This became a valuable opportunity to heighten awareness of post-admission learning by learning about the qualities and abilities required at university and gaining exposure to the attitudes and ways of thinking expected in university study.

Students in the Global Course visited Komazawa University. On the day, they participated in a campus tour and observed not only learning facilities such as lecture halls and the library, but also the university museum. By experiencing the actual atmosphere of the university and its enriched learning environment, this became a valuable opportunity to imagine university-level learning more concretely.
At the end of the tour, a question-and-answer session with current students was arranged, allowing them to hear directly about student life and approaches to entrance exam preparation. Students asked questions enthusiastically and deepened their understanding toward career path selection.

Students with interests in the visual arts and design fields of the Media Art Course visited Joshibi University of Art and Design (Sagamihara Campus). Within the campus, they observed full-scale ateliers, design studios, and enriched facilities where students conduct creative activities, experiencing an environment suitable for creative work. By encountering professional-grade equipment and creative sites, students received much stimulus and gained an opportunity to think more concretely about their own career paths.

Students in the Sports Course visited Toin Yokohama University. At the university, through explanations by current students and mock lectures, they deepened their understanding of how sports are learned from multiple perspectives—not only as “competing” but also through sports management and sports science.
Students also received explanations about building their own class schedules at the university and about teacher training courses, allowing them to envision university life and learning concretely. During the subsequent campus tour, they observed lecture rooms, training facilities, and other spaces, gaining direct exposure to the actual learning environment and student life at the university.

Students in the Childcare & Food Coordination Course visited Hattori Nutrition College. Through facility tours, cooking practice, and tastings, they learned broadly about the food profession. In the cooking practice, under the guidance of an instructor who has also directed cooking for television and film, they took on the challenge of preparing “Diavolo Chicken.” Learning practical cooking using everyday ingredients and seasonings that can be recreated at home, they experienced the joy of tasting the dishes they prepared themselves. Additionally, they renewed their appreciation for daily meals and further deepened their interest and concern in food and cooking.

Students in the General Course visited Takara Beauty College. During the facility tour, they observed cutting-edge equipment related to beauty and actual class sessions, gaining exposure to the distinctive learning environment of a vocational school.
By experiencing beauty classes, they deepened their understanding of the beauty field and gained a valuable opportunity to think concretely about their own career paths.

Through this school visit, students deepened their understanding of the significance of studying in each field and their future career paths. We look forward to seeing students continue to learn proactively toward their own goals during their remaining high school years and to realizing their career aspirations.
