On Friday, July 17, the first semester closing ceremony for the 2024 school year was held at Hakuho Arena.

First, the principal gave a talk noting that the first semester was filled with enriching days, including training programs for each grade level and the Sports Festival, where all students united and excelled. Looking ahead to the upcoming break, he encouraged students to reflect on the question “Am I taking active responsibility for my own life?” while valuing friendships, and to return in the second semester having grown by refraining from blaming others and steadily keeping their word on matters both large and small, as well as personal commitments.

Following this, awards were presented to the Bouldering Club, Judo Club, Basketball Club, Dance Club, Rhythmic Gymnastics Club, Artistic Gymnastics Club, Tennis Club, and Swimming Club (Competitive Swimming Division).

Additionally, a send-off ceremony was held for the Tennis Club, Track and Field Club, and Judo Club, who will compete in the Inter-High School Championship. The student body president offered words of encouragement, and representatives from each club also spoke. The entire school community is supporting them as they strive for further growth and excellent results.

Recently, the Dance Club won the junior division of the WORLD OF DANCE Global Championship, a world competition held in Anaheim, America on July 8–9, and also took first place at the World Finals. The Dance Club presented their championship performance at our school arena. Students enjoyed witnessing the performance from such a world-class stage up close.

The Student Guidance Director also spoke, noting that as summer vacation is about to begin, students should pay careful attention to each of their actions, reconsider their relationship with smartphones by checking whether they have developed smartphone dependency, and maintain disciplined lives throughout the summer break as Hakuho students.

Summer vacation begins tomorrow. While there will be various activities such as Club Activities and overseas study abroad programs, we hope all students will make the most of their summer break.
