The students participating in our exchange program departed Japan on the evening of Saturday, September 5, and arrived safely in Hawaii on the morning of Saturday, September 5.

At the airport, the students received a warm and heartfelt welcome from the staff of our sister school, Hawaiian School for Girls at La Pietra, as well as their host families. They were greeted with welcoming signs and beautiful leis, making their arrival a truly special and memorable beginning to the program.

The students were delighted to receive such a warm welcome from everyone and are already looking forward to the experiences and opportunities that await them in Hawaii.

Until they reunite at school on the morning of Tuesday, September 8, the students will spend the holiday weekend with their host families. We hope they enjoy this valuable time experiencing Hawaiian culture and daily life with their host families.

Meanwhile, preparations are currently underway across the Hawaiian Islands in response to Hurricane Lowell. Although the hurricane is expected to pass northwest of Honolulu, local authorities, the school, and the host families are working together to make the necessary preparations and ensure the students’ safety.

All of our students are doing well and are looking forward to making wonderful memories and experiencing new learning opportunities during their time in beautiful Hawaii.

9月5日（土）の夜に日本を出発した交換交流プログラムの生徒たちは、9月5日（土）の午前、無事にハワイへ到着しました。

空港では、姉妹校である Hawaiian School for Girls at La Pietra のスタッフの皆様とホストファミリーの皆様が、ウェルカムサインや美しいレイを手に、温かく出迎えてくださいました。

到着した生徒たちは、現地の皆様からの温かい歓迎を受け、ハワイでの交流プログラムの素晴らしいスタートを切ることができました。

生徒たちは、9月8日（火）の朝に学校で再集合するまで、それぞれのホストファミリーとともに連休を過ごします。現地での生活や文化に触れながら、充実した時間を過ごすことが期待されます。

なお、現在ハワイ諸島では、ハリケーン・ローウェルへの備えが進められています。ホノルルの北西を通過する見込みとされており、現地の当局や学校、ホストファミリーの皆様が連携し、安全確保に向けた準備と必要な対策を進めています。

生徒たちは皆、元気に過ごしております。安全を第一に、ハワイでのさまざまな学びや交流を楽しみながら、実りあるプログラムとなることを願っています。
