On September 13th, we toured the city of Thimphu.
Reflecting on our activities thus far, we experienced Bhutan’s streetscapes and culture, and enjoyed final shopping as well. As students selected souvenirs for their families and friends, they preserved their memories of Bhutan in tangible form.

Then on the 14th came the final school exchange at Pelkhil School.
After participating in the last class, farewell parties were held for us by class.
Students enjoyed juice and snacks together with their classmates, and also tasted momo, a traditional Bhutanese dish.
This was the final moment with the classmates we had studied and engaged in various activities with thus far.
Though bittersweet at parting, we were able to spend the time together in smiles and joy.

Through the 13-day study abroad experience, we learned about Bhutanese culture and school life, and deepened our exchange with local students.
We now face our return home.
We return to Japan carrying many precious memories and learnings from Bhutan in our hearts.
