On September 9th and 10th, we continued to visit Pelkhil School, our partner school in Bhutan, and conducted school exchanges.

We participated in classes and school events together with local students, gradually deepening our exchange while communicating in English.
On the 10th, as part of introducing Japanese culture, our students performed a bon dance. The students brought yukata from Japan and participated while actually wearing them. In addition to performing the bon dance, they explained the characteristics and how to wear yukata in English.

The local students listened to the explanations with great interest, and at the end, they enjoyed the bon dance together with our students. By conveying Japanese culture in our own words and enjoying it together with the local students, this became a valuable opportunity for cross-cultural exchange to understand each other’s cultures.

Through school life and cultural exchange, the distance between us and the local students is gradually becoming closer.
During the remainder of our stay, we will deepen our understanding of Bhutanese culture and people through various experiences, and further expand our cross-border exchange.
