Over the course of two days beginning today, we conducted university visits in Malaysia.

In the morning, we visited “Asia Pacific University (APU).” APU is one of Malaysia’s leading international universities, with particular strengths in IT, AI, and business fields. Students from over 130 countries and regions around the world gather here, and the students found the multicultural and multinational campus environment to be deeply impressive.

At the university, a Japanese staff member named Mirai, who is an APU alumna and currently works in the student affairs office, introduced us to the university’s distinctive features and student life. The students listened intently to the explanations and actively asked questions.

We also received a warm message encouraging them to “develop a broad perspective and aim to succeed on the world stage,” providing the students with a valuable opportunity to reflect on overseas study and their future career paths.

In the afternoon, we visited HELP University. HELP University is a private Malaysian university that is highly regarded in fields such as psychology, business, and law. It also maintains strong partnerships with overseas universities and has established an educational environment where students can learn from a global perspective.

During the university introduction, many moments were observed where students asked questions confidently in English about Club Activities and school events, demonstrating the improvement in English communication skills cultivated through this exchange program.

We were also warmly welcomed by Senior Manager Natalie, and the students actively engaged in conversation in English. We were able to experience firsthand a learning environment where students can acquire not only specialized knowledge but also high communication skills and international perspectives.

July 28 (Tuesday)
On the final day of university visits, we visited two of Malaysia’s leading universities.

In the morning, we visited Sunway University and participated in a university briefing and campus tour. The open and modern campus, sprawling like an entire city, amazed the students with its comprehensive learning environment.

In particular, the beautifully designed library with excellent architectural design was striking, with many students studying comfortably there. The students actively explored the facility, searching for books and enjoying meals at a campus cafeteria, experiencing local university life firsthand. From their behavior, we could sense their ability to naturally blend into a different cultural environment and act independently.

In the afternoon, we visited Taylor’s University, which boasts world-class educational standards and outstanding employment outcomes. Upon arriving at the beautiful lakeside campus, the students were captivated by its sophisticated landscape.

At the School of Hospitality, we viewed practice facilities modeled after an actual hotel and received explanations about practical educational environments including front desk operations and housekeeping. The students seemed greatly attracted to an education that develops immediately applicable skills through hands-on training in realistic settings, not merely theoretical knowledge.

The six universities we visited during this program, while each possessing different characteristics and strengths, all shared a common philosophy of respecting diversity and cultivating talent capable of succeeding globally.

Through these university visits, the students deepened their understanding of the value of studying at overseas universities and the skills required in a global society, while also gaining a very meaningful opportunity to consider their own future career paths.
