The students participating in our exchange program departed Japan on the evening of Saturday, September 5, and arrived safely in Hawaii on the morning of Saturday, September 5.

At the airport, the staff of our sister school, Hawaiian School for Girls at La Pietra, and their host families welcomed them warmly, presenting welcoming signs and beautiful leis.

The students received a warm welcome from everyone at the local site and were able to make a wonderful start to the exchange program in Hawaii.

The students will spend the holiday weekend with their respective host families until they reconvene at school on the morning of Tuesday, September 8. They are expected to have a fulfilling time while experiencing local life and culture.

In addition, preparations are currently underway across the Hawaiian Islands in response to Hurricane Lowell. The hurricane is expected to pass northwest of Honolulu, and local authorities, the school, and host families are working together to implement preparations and necessary measures to ensure safety.

All of our students are doing well. With safety as our top priority, we hope the program will be enriching as the students enjoy various learning and exchange opportunities while in Hawaii.
