Grade 2 Australia School Trip ②

On October 31st (Saturday), after approximately 10 hours of flight, we arrived in Sydney.
After completing immigration procedures, we split up by Course and toured Sydney city. We visited famous landmarks representing Sydney such as the Opera House and Mrs. Macquarie’s Point, and enjoyed the Australian streetscape. For lunch, we had fish and chips, a local specialty dish.

In the afternoon, we met our host families at their homes. At first, the students seemed a bit nervous, but when warmly welcomed by their host families, smiles naturally appeared on their faces, and they headed to their respective homes with reassured expressions.

The 2-night, 3-day homestay is about to begin. While enjoying the differences in language and culture, I hope the students will value taking initiative in communication and working to understand their host families. Through this experience, I look forward to seeing the students gain some confidence and show signs of growth.
