We have safely arrived in Malaysia, and our activities on the ground are progressing smoothly. On the second and third days after arrival, we conducted cultural exploration and sightseeing in Kuala Lumpur.

On Saturday, July 18th, we visited renowned landmarks representative of Kuala Lumpur, including the Batu Caves, the Bank Negara Malaysia Museum, and the Thean Hou Temple. Despite fatigue from extended travel, the local heat and humidity, and sudden downpours, students demonstrated a willingness to learn enthusiastically throughout.

We observed many instances of students putting their English studies into practice, such as asking Pine Hills International students about school life in English and actively engaging with facility staff in conversation. The students demonstrated strong global communication skills.

On Sunday, July 19th, we also implemented a program centered on cultural exploration. At the Orang Asli Crafts Museum, we learned about the culture of Malaysia’s indigenous peoples, and subsequently visited the Royal Malaysia Police Museum and the Islamic Arts Museum, which boasts one of the world’s finest collections.

Students listened intently to the guide’s explanations, deepening their learning by confirming their understanding with one another. They have also become quite comfortable with the Pine Hills International students, broadening their circle of exchange by enjoying traditional Malaysian games together.

With school life beginning the next day, some nervousness was evident; however, each student is moving forward with anticipation for their new environment, repeatedly practicing self-introductions in English and making other preparations.
