On October 19th, second-year students from the Global Course departed for California, USA to participate in a language training program.

During this two-week program, students will attend Merced College and aim to improve their English skills in speaking, writing, and reading. They will also stay with host families in the Merced area, deepening their understanding of American culture and lifestyle through interaction with local people.

On their first day of arrival in California, the students visited the Golden Gate Bridge, which spans approximately 2.7 kilometers. While taking commemorative photos, they enjoyed the magnificent scenery of this world-famous bridge and explored the surrounding area.

Next, they visited Pier 39, a popular tourist destination in San Francisco. In addition to tasting the famous clam chowder, the students fully enjoyed local experiences such as shopping and observing wild sea lions resting on the pier.

In the evening, they arrived in Merced and received a warm welcome from their host families. The students, their hearts filled with anticipation for the homestay experience about to begin, were beaming with smiles. Not only will they improve their language skills, but a two-week journey of learning through exposure to different cultures has now officially begun.

Through this training program moving forward, we look forward to seeing our students accumulate various experiences and grow significantly.
