90th Anniversary Ceremony & Memorial Festival Opening Ceremony Held!
2026.10.03
Today, the Memorial Festival opening ceremony and 90th anniversary commemorative ceremony were held.
From the principal:
“It is deeply gratifying that our school, which was named after our history of relocating from Kawasaki 90 years ago to our current location in Tsurumi, has the opportunity to celebrate the Memorial Festival during the precious three years of high school life, marking the milestone of our 90th anniversary. Under the slogan ‘Aim high,’ I hope that you will take on challenges alongside your friends and make this a special day filled with wonderful memories of your high school years.”

Student Council President:
“As we mark this significant 90th anniversary milestone, we are now taking a major step toward a new future. Let us each bring out our individual strengths and together make this the greatest Memorial Festival!”
Executive Committee Chair:
While feeling the weight of 90 years of tradition, we have carefully crafted this year’s theme with fresh challenges in mind, so that all our visitors will enjoy the experience.

Outcomes of Exploratory Learning: Insights from Childcare Internships and Global Education
At the Memorial Festival, presentations showcasing the results of students’ daily learning also drew significant attention.
■ Practice and Reflection in the Childcare Field
Students who undertook childcare internships raised profound questions: “Does simply increasing the number of childcare workers actually solve issues in the field?” and “How should we nurture the human talent needed for the healthy growth and education of children?” The earnest manner in which they conveyed the importance of continuous learning through repeated failures and successes, gained by directly experiencing children’s reactions in the field, revealed the reassuring competence of those who will lead the next generation of childcare.
■ Insights and Growth through Global Education
Presentations were also given by students who gained overseas experience through our enriched study abroad program. What they cultivated through international exchange was not merely language skills, but a spirit of “compassion.” One presentation that left a strong impression spoke of how gaining the perspective that “what is ‘unusual’ to me may be ‘normal’ to others” allowed them to learn the essence of accepting diversity and living with mutual compassion.
■ From Ukraine, Our Second Homeland, to Japan ~ Overcoming Adversity
My life in Ukraine changed dramatically, and after a harrowing evacuation, I returned to Japan. Through the warm support of the people around me, I gained the greatest sense of security and the strength to look forward again.
Because “the future is unknown to everyone,” I will continue forward, transforming every difficulty into fuel for growth, gratitude in my heart.
The miraculous “90th anniversary” that arrived in a precious moment of high school life. The sight of students continuing to pursue challenges while inheriting tradition and “aiming high” conveyed a firm step forward toward the next hundred years.

Near the end of the ceremony, two special guests (May J and ANAIS) whose appearances had not been announced beforehand took the stage as a surprise, and the venue erupted in thunderous cheers and applause!

The students in the audience were thrilled and overjoyed by the unexpected appearance of these distinguished guests. Through their talk and performances, warm encouragement was shared, making this the most special moment that added brilliance to the 90th anniversary celebration.
