From March 19 (Thursday) to March 22 (Sunday), our school’s Swimming Club Water Polo Division participated as the Kanagawa selection team in the “12th All Japan Junior (U17) Water Polo Championship – Kashiwazaki Shiokaze Cup” held at Kashiwazaki Aqua Park in Kashiwazaki City, Niigata Prefecture.

The tournament results are as follows:

・vs. Tokyo Metropolitan Selection: 28–3 Victory
・vs. Toyama Swimming Palace: 18–14 Victory
・vs. Kyoto Prefecture Selection: 11–10 Victory

Based on these results, we achieved first place.

Additionally, the following four players were selected for Best 7 (Excellence Award) at this tournament:

・Michika Kondo
・Irowa Kambara
・Sari Sato
・Yu Kitajima

Although we participated as the Kanagawa selection team, all participating members were players from our school, and we achieved the remarkable accomplishment of winning our first national championship as a team. In each match, every player fought persistently until the very end, and this effort resulted in today’s achievement.
