Building Specialized Knowledge in Childcare and Food Coordination
For Childcare, we partner with Tsurumi University Junior College Division’s Childcare Department through an Articulation Agreement, jointly developing the instructional plan for specialized childcare skills. Students learn from university professors with deep expertise, and from instructors with rich on-site experience — receiving high-quality guidance. For Food Coordination, students begin with the very first step — learning how to hold a knife — and build solid foundational cooking technique. The curriculum then expands through classes in confectionery, breadmaking, table coordination, and more — equipping students with broad knowledge and skills in the world of food.

A Broad Study of Children, Ingredients, and Cooking
To nurture the qualities a Childcare Worker needs, the course incorporates childcare techniques such as piano, eurhythmics, and plastic arts, along with hands-on lessons using infant dolls, as well as practicum sessions at kindergartens and nursery schools. Students learn directly from teachers with experience as Kindergarten Teachers and Childcare Workers, hearing first-hand stories from the field. For students interested in food-related careers, cooking practicum and table coordination lessons offer the experience of how joyful eating can be — and of the deep satisfaction of preparing and serving a meal to someone else.
