Year 2 Australia School Trip ④

On Monday, November 2, we reached day 4 of the school trip.
In the morning, we bid farewell to the host families we had spent the past two nights and three days with. Carrying gratitude in their hearts for the warm welcome these families had given them, the students departed for their respective Course-based training programs.

The Childcare Course visited a local kindergarten. While learning about the differences between childcare in Japan and Australia, the students deepened their exchange by actually playing with the children. It was impressive to see them actively engaging with the children even in an environment with different languages and cultures.

The Food Coordination Course visited the fish market and participated in a cooking experience. At the cooking school, they took on the challenge of making paella, and worked happily on the cooking while experiencing local ingredients and cooking methods.

The General Course visited the University of Sydney and interacted with local university students. While enjoying campus tours and exploring the city together, we saw students actively communicating in English. In their efforts to convey their thoughts in their own words, we could sense the growth of the students.
In each Course, it was a day where students experienced learning that cannot be obtained in the classroom alone.
Tomorrow will finally be the group-based independent research activity that the students have been looking forward to. I hope they will enjoy their planned day in Sydney while cooperating with their group members.
