On Friday, April 10th, we held the entrance ceremony for the 2026 academic year.

Many parents also attended the event.
This year, 340 students entered across 13 classes.
The new students appeared nervous, but when their names were called, they responded clearly.

Principal Tadahiko Tamagawa spoke about our school’s slogan “Aim High” during his address. He touched upon the achievements of our upper-class and graduate students—those who have competed in national tournaments through Club Activities, those who have gained admission to prestigious universities through daily academic effort, and those who have improved their language skills through overseas study abroad experiences and participated in international speech events. He expressed his hope that all new students would make the most of their high school years as they strive to realize their individual dreams and goals.
He also introduced the origin of our school name “Hakuho,” sharing the passage “In the great northern sea lives a mighty fish called the Kun, which transforms into the Peng. The back of the Peng stretches beyond a thousand miles, and its wings spread like clouds touching the heavens”—delivering an encouraging message about the potential to transform into something of greater power.
He also encouraged the students to cherish their meetings with new friends and teachers, and to greet others with an open heart.

In the freshman class pledge, we heard words filled with hope for high school life.
The student council president also sent warm words, encouraging students to feel gratitude toward those around them who support them, and to spend a fulfilling three years.

After the entrance ceremony, we held class meetings in each classroom.

High school life officially begins tomorrow.
We hope that all students will spend a meaningful three years at Hakuho Girls.
